The hormone relaxin helps to soften ligaments in the pelvis to enable and smoothen the process of birth. It can take up to 5 months for the hormone relaxin to stop having its effect on the pelvis, so be mindful of quick movements and the risk of falls in the post-partum period, new mama’s!

Exercise, time, and a few baby cuddles can help with this transition phase.
